Namo WebEditor offers features and tools that will appeal to professional Web developers, wrapped up in an interface that's easy for novice Web developers to navigate.
You can build a Web site from scratch, edit an existing Web site, or use the Site Wizard to customize a Web site, based on one of the more than 200 built-in templates. A Script Wizard makes it easy to add JavaScript effects, such as rollover text, scrolling text, and rotating banners; the package includes 80 built-in JavaScript actions. The Database Wizard can help you create dynamic database pages.
WebEditor's interface is straightforward and easy to use. Standard menus provide easy access to tools and help files. The Standard tool palette provides icon-based access to tools and functions. The Format palette provides text-formatting tools via icons and drop-down menus. If you like to have things your way, you can click and drag to rearrange the palettes, including reversing their order, putting them side by side, or dragging one or both off the page so they're out of the way but still accessible.
The Site Manager lets you simultaneously view a hierarchical file list and an organization chart-style layout of your site. You can drag and drop page icons to rearrange your site on the fly.
The Resource Manager organizes and maintains all site resources, including images, color sets, design themes, and table styles. It also provides quick access to built-in themes, clip art, and buttons.
New features include a Shortcut Bar, which provides one-click access to frequently used functions; an expanded Property Inspector; the ability to create and save your own document templates and site templates; and a new split-screen view, so you can simultaneously view HTML source code and its effects.
The package also includes Namo Capture, a screen capture utility; GIF Animator for creating animated GIFs; Image Slicer for manipulating images; WebCanvas, a vector-based drawing program; and WebBoard, which lets you add message boards to a Web site.
